Sewing in Action:

Sewing in Action Ministry

Sewing in action is a ministry dedicated to providing garments and functional accessories for individuals and ministries in need.  Sewing experience isn't necessary, and training is provided.  Come make friends and a difference!  Church membership isn't necessary either, and our volunteers consist of ladies from both the church and community.  Questions?  Please call the office for further information.

Starting in 2011, the goal for those interested is to learn basic sewing skills.  The idea came up that while learning, the group could make dresses for an orphanage in Africa.  Thus the name: "Sewing in Action" to reflect its purpose.  Over the years, over a hundred dresses have been made for Faith Orphanage in Zambia, as well as donated for missions trips on request.

Only recently, the youth group joined us in making bags and pencil cases that were placed in Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes, as well as donations to Samaritan's Purse.  Lap quilts have been crafted and donated to a Cambridge area respite home, we have assisted the group "Days for Girls", and additional efforts have been underway making hats for cancer patients at Cambridge Hospital.

Life Groups:

Fridays:

This L.I.F.E Group meets every 1st and 3rd Friday at the church from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church starting September 22, and is facilitated by John Bunner.

"The Bible makes abundantly clear, again and again ... that God uses the most messed-up, flawed, not-good-enough
people to do His will ... , because messed-up, flawed, not-good-enough people are all He has to choose from."
